Gavin Huw Thomas
I have been a Cartographer for the last 25 years, working in the media and publishing industries. Originally from Pembrokeshire in West Wales, my interest in cartography began at an early age. After taking part in a few road rallies as a Navigator and walking the 181 mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path, I knew that maps were going to feature intrinsically in my life.
I have extensive knowledge of the cartographic world after years in the industry.
I have had my maps published in a book entitled ‘The Oxfordshire Way – a walkers guide.’
“‘The Oxfordshire Way’ provides a clear and accessible guide to walks through some of Englands most rural and scenic Countryside taking in two AONB’s – The Cotswolds and the Chilterns. The book has detailed and easy to follow directions and maps, historical details on the areas covered by the walks, and informative photographs and illustrations. Fantastic.”
As well as producing the maps for Glastonbury for Q magazine. I am currently looking to develop my career further within a cartographic environment.
